5 Must Stop Booths at the New Buffalo Farmer’s Market

If you’re looking for something to fill your Thursday afternoon post-nap and pre-sunset viewing time, the downtown market is perfect! The local booths stretch most of Whittaker Street and range from baked goods to trinkets to soaps. Here are my most frequented stops:

1) King of the Kettle

You can't beat this popped on-the-spot treat! I go for the classic kettle corn but if you’re looking for something even sweeter, try their “Unicorn Poop” for a berry and sugar overload.

2) Lakeview Venditions

This local video store turned gift shop has the neatest finds! If you’re looking for something to take home from your stay in New Buffalo they‘ve got you covered.

3) Woodstock BBQ

Who doesn’t get a little hungry after all this shopping? Their pulled pork sandwiches and beef brisket are my go-tos and while you’re at it get a side of their potato casserole - you won’t regret it, promise!

4) Flourish

Based out of southwest MI, this mobile retailer sells both books and houseplants to feed your mind and spirit. I could spend hours looking through their assortment but if you need a quick beach read, they can point you in the right direction!

5) Happy Frog Soap

This sweet-smelling shop out of La Porte always has a fun range of bathbombs and hand soaps. My current favorite is the watermelon lemonade!
